A CLERKS' UNION. i By Electric Telegraph- -Copyright [United Press Assooi.'.tiow . Perth, June 30. The Premier told a deputation from the Clerks' Union, asking for preference to unionists in Government appointments, that he was not going to fill the service with men just because they belonged to a union. He would not employ a man to handle cash unless he was satisfied that he was trustworthy.
ADVANCED WAGES TO LABORERS
(Received 10.10 a.m.) London, June 30. Ten thousand labourers in the engineering trade at Sheffield received an advance, making a minimum of 23s weekly.
