BIBLE-IN-SCHOOLS DAY.
o PETITIONS AND COUNTER PETITION. At the services of the Anglican, Methodist and Presbyterian Churches and the Salvation Army yesterday, references were made to the Bible-in-Schools question, and signatures were obtained petitioning Parliament to adopt the system of instruction at present in use in Australia. At the Roman Catholic Church reference was also made to the question, and a petition against the system was largely signed.
