Our representative has personally inspected the cattle and pronounced them a first-class lot. The cows have been well cared for, are in good condition, nearly all early calvers, and the whole are in calf to the pedigree Jersey bulls Campfire and Halley’s Comet. The average test for the season 1911-12 was 4.8, and for the present season 4.9. Mr Hoskin’s stock are so'well and favourably known that further comment is unnecessary, his herd is considered one of the best in South Taranaki.
