London, June 27. > In the probate case concerning the will of Sir John Murray Scott, Mr Smith, counsel for Malcolm Scott, addressed the Court for nine hours. He read a letter wherein Lady Sackville called Sir John “Dear Old Seery.” He called her “Dear Old Jose.” She bitterly upbraided him for breaking his promise in altering the will after twelve years’ friendship. Sir John replied that he had promised nothing, but had treated her not illiberally. Mr Smith mentioned that Sir John’s gifts to her ladyship totalled £84,000 in ten years.
