The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a set of furs, and to the bridesmaid a gold brooch. The wedding breakfast took place at the residence of the bride’s mother in Celia Street, where the many handsome presents received by the happy couple were much admired. The Rev. Father Maples proposed the toast of the bride and bridegroom, and in doing so referred to the fact that the bride’s mother was one of the oldest residents of Stratford, having settled in the district over thirty years ago. In the evening Mr and Mrs Wilson left for New Plymouth en route to Auckland, where the honeymoon will ho spent. The bride’s travelling dress was a neat navy cloth.
