PROBLEM OF THE UNFIT.

The Standard of Empire interviewed the High Commissioners upon Aiderman Hanson refusing to bind over a prisoner at Guildhall in order that he should be sent to the. colonies on the ground that the man was not the sort wanted in Canada and Australia.
Sir Georuge Reid (Commonwealth) said Alderman Hanson liad rendered a service to the Empire. Each division of the Empire ought to deal with its own undesirables. The Hon. Thos. Mackenzie (New Zealand) said that if ho heard of a proved bad character being sent to New Zealand, he would cable to his Government to prevent "the landing.
