The Government Meteorologist (Rev D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows : The indications are for land and sea breezes, but northerly moderate to strong winds prevailfng. Weather probably cool and changeable with increasing haze and cloudiness. Barometer unsteady but falling after about 1G hours. ■ '
