MATTHEWS, BENNETT AND CO
Matthews, Bennett and Co. report that there was a fair entry of cattle in their Inglewood yards on Wednesday. Young stock were in better demand, calves made £1 76 to £1 lus, good heifer calves £2, backward store cows £ii to £2 15s, good do. £3 us to £4, springers £4 to £5 ss. On aconnt of Mr A. McDonald, old and backward cows £2 to £4, good dairy cows £4 10s tp £7 os, springing heifers £4 2s Cd to £4 12s Cd. They also report the sale of two sections, one of 110 acres, and the other of 120 acres on the Kent road, to two local investors.
