BUSINESS EXTENSION.
MOREY AND SON’S PREMISES. Messrs Morey and Son have only been in business in Stratford for the past eighteen months, and though the firm secured fairly commodious premises when they commenced operations, it has now been found necessary by reason of increased business to extend the premises. from the start, the showroom was found to be not so large as was desirable, and it has now been decided to make an addition to the back of the building, which will enable the firm’s large stock of goods to bo displayed to the best advantage. The new portion of the building will be completed in about a fortnight’s time, and then
there will be a clear space of about fifty feet by twenty feet for use as a showroom, the present back wall of the showroom being removed. r lhe firm has had some difficulty in seeming sufficient natural light, and has installed a considerable number of skylights in the old portion of the building; and the indications are that the new portion will have a good supply of natural light. In addition, eight new 100 candle-power electric lights have been installed throughout the building for use in the evenings.
The new showroom will bo under the sole control of Miss O’Toole, lately of Auckland, who takes up duty as milliner to the firm next week. Miss O’Toole is an expert in tier business, and comes to Stratford with the very highest testimonials and credentials. x
