AMUSEMENTS.

HIS MAJESTY’S PICTURES. ,To-night at His Majesty’s Pictures, ; the usual change takes place, when the; .programme to be submitted is stated by the management to be the 1 est yet screened. This is tile fitst set of films received from the Ij^W' - ’ picture combine, and for pathetic, ' thrilling, educational, comic £nd scenic reels, the variety is unequalled. The star picture drama is Dr. Gai-El-Haraer, the terrible eastern poisoner, a plot of which is taken from life in Constantinople. *lt is a gripping story, over one hundred exiting scenes being shown, which hardly' gives time to take breath. The staging is pronounced to he elahomto and true to the period. Another film, which is of the Lubin standard, is well represented in “The struggle of Hearts.” The scenario will move the deepest Heart from pathos to the gay. Scenes in the Adriatic sea is a pearl of a scenic; while Star Crystallisation is of a highly educational value. The comic hits areheaded by “Tweedledum’s Life Story” and others which tend to make a very strong hill.
