Hawke' s Bay Player 2, Goodwin Park 3. Scratched : Sea Queen. Won by a length. Time, 3min 49sec. •'Hawke's Bay Steeplechase.—The Spaniard 1, Leolanter 2, Rebel 3. Scratched: Knutsford. Leolanter fell at the last hurdle, but .finished second. Only four finished. Time, 6min 45seC. THE DERBY STAKES. (Received 11.4.0 a.m.) London, June 17. Application is to be made in Chancery on Friday to prevent Weatherby' s paying out the Derby Stakes. ROYALTIES AT ASCOT. (Received 12.55 p.m.) London, /June 17. At Ascot there was a brilliant assemblage. Their Majesties drove in semi-State from Windsor Castle. Many Royalties were present. Every effort was., made to avoid a suffragette disturbance, officials reserving the right to question any visitor to the enclosures.
Louvois won the Prince of Wales Stakes; Tetrarch, the Coventry Stakes; Rivoli, the Ascot Stakes; Shogun, the Gold Vase.
