On Monday, the 16th inst., the X.Z. LoaiifalulMcrcantile Agency Co., Ltd. held a clearing sale on account of Mr W. H. Fenwick, Toiiki. There was a large attendance of the public, and bidding was very keen on everything offered, but several buyers who Vere present were' unable to operate largely on account of shortage of feed. All of the machinery was in first class order and the stock were in exceptionally irood condition, and consequently sold very readily. Prices were as follows: Gent's saddle G2s 6d, hay sheet 755. 0coulter Farmer's Favourite drill £2O 10s, timber jack 110 s, Massey-Harris mower £l2 10s, knife grinder 21s. tine harrows 555, chain harrows 9'Js, spring milk cart £l2 ss, disc harrows £5 10s, single furrow plough (old) £3 12s Gd, grass harrows £4 ss, milk cms 16s and 20s, factory shares 163, fowls 2s 6d, Bell organ £ls, chairs 3s Gd, couch 355, double-seated buggy £30,, buggy harness £3 1 f-draught horse £3O, 1 carriage horse £22, 1 pedigree Jersey cow Magnet's Vixen calved, guineas, heifer calf weekold lOgns, pedigree Jersey heifer empty llgns, 1 pedigree heifer Golden Dolly 19£gns, pedigree weaner heifer in poor condition Signs, pedigree Jersey bull Y\ r aifs Star 2lgns, pedigree weaner bull Whf 12igns, nice line of .Jersey in calf heifers realised rom 13 to 20 guineas, also a nice lino of Jersey weaner heifers ogns and Bgns.'We might say that this sale has been the best held so far this season for this class of stock.
