GOLF.
The June medal competitions were played last week. Miss F. Orbell was the winner of the ladies and Mr S. Spence the men's competitions. Results: — Ladies.
Eighteen others also competed. On Tuesday a team from the local club will play New Plymouth at New Plymouth. The professional (J. McCormick) will arrive on Wednesday morning, and will give lessons on the links. Players desiring the services of the coach are advised to hand their names to the secretary.
