SHEFKET PASHA'S DEATH.
A WARNING UNHEEDED. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 9.45 a.m.) Constantinople, June 13. It is stated that Shefket Pasha received a warning on the day previous to the murder, but it passed unheeded. Ho deprecated the adoption of special precautions for his safety. The arrested persons are supposed to have been mere instruments, and thai the real authors are still at liberty. It is believed that there is a plot to assassinate the leading Ministers. CHASING THE ASSASSIN. Constantinople, June 13. (Received 12.40 p.m.) Military surrounded the bouse of :i British subject at Pera, wherein Zia Bey, the supposed assassin of Shefket with several accomplices Avas taking refuge. The troops fired a fusilade, and Zia replied, wounding Lieutenant Hilmi Samueleffondi, the Magistrate. It is believed that Zia is mortally wounded. The siege is proceeding.
