Q BUTTER AND CHEESE. Auckland, June 11. The various sub-committees entrusted with the arrangements for the Dominion Agricultural Show, to be held during the second week of December, in order to synchronise with the Auckland Exhibition, are displaying energy in their attention to details. The show dates are December 10, 11, 12 and 13. A decision of importance to the dairying industry has been arrived at by the general committee. That is that prize-money 1 amounting to £6O will he offered for competitions in factory butter, and prize-money amounting to £4O for cheese. There will be two classes for each. In the butter class tile prize will be for one box of butter, suitable 1 for export (561bs), open to all factories in the Dominion, the butter to be taken from ordinary parcels passing into a grading store or from butter already in store on a date prior to November 20, 1913. The actual date will be fixed and the selection made by officials appointed for this purpose, and without notice to the exhibitors. The sura of £3O will be divided pro rata amongst the six exhibitors scoring' the highest number of points. Glass D is for one box of butter suitable for export (561 b), open to all factories in the Dominion, to be manufactured under the most favorable conditions and forwarded to one of the Government grading stores, marked the registered number of the factory, and branded not later than November 22. A sum of £3O will be divided pro rata amongst the six exhibitors scoring the highest number of points. In the cheese competitions, Class A will be for one crate of large white fail cream New Zealand cheddar-shap-ed cheese, suitable for export. A sum of £2O will be divided pro rata amongst the four exhibitors scoring the highest number of points. Class B will be for one crate of large colored full-cream New Zealand cheddarj ®baped cheese, suitable for export. Tire sum of £2O will be divided pro rate, amongst four exhibitors scoring the highest number of points.
