EGMONT AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION. rjIHE FIRST ANNUAL TERRITORIAL GYMKHANA SPORTS MEETING Will be held on the SHOW GROUNDS, HAWERA, On THURSDAY,, 26th JUNE, 1913. (Hawera Winter Show Week.) All Classes .aro, exclusively for Territorials ami Cadets in Military Area Group, No. S (Taranaki and Ring Country), and No. 6 (Wanganui). The Gymkhana is the first of its kind in Taranaki, and includes such competitions as— Tug-of-war, Cock-fighting, Balaclava Melee, Tent-pitching, Marching, Tilting the Bucket, Boot Race, Lloyd-Lindsay, Bugling, Relay Race, Physical Drill, Pillowfighting, Wrestling-on-horse-back, Bun and Pop Race, Mounted Jumping, and the very amusing obstacle race in Fancy Costume, in addition to tho three military bands.
Free passes on the railway will bo granted to all competitors.The Prize List contains many valuable Cups and Trophies (see programme). ■ EXCURSION FARE on all railways for General Public. I ON 17th June, tho ordinary train service between New Plymouth and Hawera will bo suspended, with the exception of the Mail trains and the 12.50 p.n?. ,N.e.'V, Plymouth-Wan-ganui -train. a :J ], «j t• • ? ,.■ Special passenger train will leave Stratford 7.35t'a.m.* 8.45 a.m., 9.10 a.m., and 9.35 a.m. for New Plymouth and Moturoa. Tho 7.35 a.m. train will stop only at station Stratford to Durham Road inclusive to lift passengers. Tho 8.45 a.m. train will NOT lift passengers at intermediate stations, Stratford to New Plymouth. Tho 9.10 a.m. train stops where inquired to pick up passengers. The 9.35 a.m. train stops where required to pick up or set down passengers. Return trains leave Moturoa 3.10 p.m., 3.35 p.m., 4.10 p.m., 4.45 p.m., and 5.15 p.m., New Plymouth at 3.25 p.m., 3.55 p.m., 4.25 p.m., 5 p.m., and 5.30 p.m for Stratford. Tho 3.35 p.m. train will NOT take passengers for intermediate stations, New Plymouth to Stratford. The 3.10 p.m. and 4.10 p.m. train stop only to set down passengers at stations Inglewood to Stratford inclusive. Passengers for Toko branch must travel by these trains, the 4.45 p.m. and 5.15 p.m. trains stop where required to pick up or set down pasengers. Tho usual 10.20 a.m., Stratfovd-Te Wera train, and the usual 12.50 p.m., Te Wera train, will NOT run. HOLIDAY EXCURSION TICKETS to Breakwater available for break of journey, at New Plymouth, will he issued on 16th June and by morning trains on 17th June from To Roti, Pohokura, and intermediate stations, available for return until 21st June. First-class tickets will NOT be issued by any of tho excursion trains. Holiday Excursion tickets are NOT available by the Mail trains. The Goods Shed at Stratford will be "losed on 17th June, and no goods or live stock traffic" will be accepted on that day. BY ORDER.
