Sir Edward Carson, in the House of Commons, said he fervently hoped never, again to discuss Homo Rule in the House of Commons. Mr Redmond had rightly said that the present discussion was automatic. Ho and his friends declined to be automatic. Tlie people of Ulster were rightly preparing to resist. He would take all the responsibility. The Government might seize arms and send troops but they could never settle the Irish question.
