TARANAKI AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.
WINTER SHOW. It may fairly be taken for granted that at the above Show farm produce will be something worth going a long way to see. Judges for all classes have been selected, and it is anticipated that there will he no refusals; indeed, in the majority of cases, acceptances have already been received.
The local Technical College has reserved a space of 900 square feet, with the intention of making a display of all classes of work produced by the pupils at the college. Applications are still coming in from proprietors of various side shows, from as far south as Dunedin, and it is expected that most of those now at the Waikato Show will bo doing business here.
The inaugural trials of the Taranaki Sheep Dog Trial Club, which is incorporated with the Taranaki Agricultural Society, is arousing considerable interest throughout the district, and provided the climatic conditions arc favourable a big assured. Entries for the trial close on Saturday, and are already coming in very freely. Although this is the first trial to he hold at New Plymouth, excellent entries are anticipated. The trials will take place at Frankleigh Park, on June 11 and 12.
