At the Queensland Jockey Club’s autumn meeting the principal event, the Moreton Handicap, was won by Pongo, with Bdotan second and Wirral third. Pongo won by three-quar-ters of a length, with Wirral a length away, third. Time, 2min 38fsec. • * I ( ? ' _____ At Ellerslie during the Auckland Racing Club’s Winter Meeting the total amount put through during the eleven days’ racing was £401,912 10s, which is an increase of £34,935 as compared with last year. A comparison of the amounts during the past three years shows that in 1910-11 £269,228 was handled, in 1911-12 £366,989 10s, and in 1912-13 £401,924 10s.
