jO--ACCIDENT IN THE BUSH. [Per Press Association.] Carterton, June 7. An unfortunate accident befel a young man named Frank Daysh yesterday. He was employed in the bush at Maungatareire Valley by Mr Rathbone, timber merchant, and was engaged with others in hauling logs out of the bush, when suddenly a log lurched forward and crushed Daysh against a stump, his right leg being crashed fearfully. The leg was put in splints, and the patient was carried in over ten miles of country to Carterton, and sent to the Masterton hospital: Daysh is 23 or 24 years of arre.
