BULK-HANDLING OF WHEAT

The interim report of the commission which is inquiring into the question of wheat-handling recommend bulk-handling on the Canadian system, whereby it is estimated a penny per bushel is saved. The commissioners state that the evidence showed that an under current of despair was often indignantly expressed concerning the exactions of the present system. Fanners know they don't get a square deal alona the line of the wheat's progress to the bakeries,. MT. LYELL MINE. Hobart, June 7.
The general manager of the Mount Lyell Company reports that the 1100 ft level is practically free from water, and that the works are in.good condition. MINISTER OF PUBLIC WORKS DEFEATED.
