BIRTHDAY HONORS.
THE LATEST RECOGNITIONS. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] London, Juno 3. Among the birthday honors are a baronetcy for Mr J. M. Barrie, the well-known novelist, and knighthoods for Mr Forbes Robertson, the war correspondent, Professor John Harvard Biles, vice-president of the Institute of Naval Architects, and Professor E. A. Schafer, professor of physiology at Edinburgh University. Mr Henry Otterson, Clerk of the New Zealand House of Representatives, has been awarded a knighthood. Sir John French has been gazetted Field Marshall. The Birthday honors include three Privy Councillors and seven Baronets. The latter include Mr Archibald Denny, shipbuilder, and Mr Stephen Furness, a member of the House of Commons. SOME HOME CELEBRATIONS. (Received 10.20 a.m.) London, June 3. The celebrations in honor of % the King’s Birthday included the trooping of the colors at the Horseguards, the dressing of warships, firing salutes, and the manoeuvring of airships and aeroplanes.
