In the debate on the admission of Sikhs, Mr Powei expressed the hope to boiling pAnt avail'd Canada bcthat the Sikhs would not be roused cause of the expulsion of the women and children. More than half of the Sikhs have already returned to their homes. Mr Longheed, on behalf of the Government, stated that the Cabinet was considering the whole question. It was difficult for the Government to flout the feelings of British Columbia against Orientals. He hoped a solution of the difficulty would be found.
