was first over the last jump, and stalling off Dorando won by four lengths. The Native and Bismarck fell, and Okaihau broke down. Time, Bmin 20sec.

There was a record attendance, and the totalisator turnover reached £18,526, against £14,134 for the first day last year. They include Valido. The Melbourne and Caulfield Cup entries are unavailable yet. A Sydney cablegram states that the racehors’e Barios has been purchased by Mr C. B. Kellow for 1125 guineas.
