NEW PETROLEUM COMPANY
Christchurch, Juno 1. The International Petroleum anl Mineral Development Corporation was registered in Christchurch yesterday with a capital of £400,000. This is understood to be the largest oil proposition yet" placed before the public of New Zealand. The corporation has acquired exclusive rights in perpetuity over areas in Taranaki aggregating seventeen ' square miles. These areas include several properties commented on by Mr J. D. Henry, the English oil expert in his work "Dominion Oilfields." The operations of the corporation will be Tinder the supervision and control of Mr P. A. Hadley.
