CRICKET. MACARTXEY'S TEAM. [By Electric Telegraph— Copyright] [United Press Association.] New York, May 30. Macartney's cricketers scored 221' in the first innings against Victoria, British Columbia. Victoria scored 57 and 76. BOXING. On Thursday evening (states the HaWera Star) a friendly match took place between Maxwell (Hawera) and CWard,a recent arrival from England. Coward having the reputation of being a good boxer, and Maxwell being one of the best, those present were treated to a capital exhibition. It had been arranged that ten rounds be fought, but the contestants at the oighth round decided not to finish, and no decision was given. They vill meet again at a later date.
