ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
SUPPOSED SUICIDE. [Per Press Association.] Cbristchurch, May 30. The police have received word from Hororata of the death of a widower named Thos. Barson, at 5.15 p.m. yesterday, from gun-shot wound, supposed to be self-inflicted. Deceased >vas a gardener. FOUND DROWNED. Ashburton, May 30. At the adjourned inquest touching the death of Joseph Walter Stephens,. who was found drowned in the Domain Swimming Bath on May 23, the Coroner returned a verdict of suicide while temporarily insane.
