INVERCARGILL SESSIONS. [Per Pees* Association.] Invercargill, May 30. At th« Supreme Court to-daj, before Sir Joshua Williams, James Chambers was found guilty of assault andcausing bodily harm, the jury adding a recommendation to mercy, as malice had not been shown. The accused was admitted to probation for twelve months, on condition that he abstained from intoxicants, and was ordered to pay £23 towards the cost of the prosecution. Boyd Dixon, charged with uttering counterfeit coins at Nightcaps, was found not guilty. HEAVY DIVORCE LIST. Christchurch, May 30; In divorce, the decree nisr, with the custody of the children and costs on the lowest scale was granted in McKenuie v. McKenzie (the wife's petition). Decrees nisi were granted in Morland v. Morland (the wife's petition), Bigwood v. Bigwood (the husband's petition), A'Court v. A'Court (the wife's petition), Saner r. Saner (the wife's petition), Rankin v. Rankin (ibv husband's petition), and Ross v. Ros-; (the wife's petition).
