Mr Lloyd George, speaking at 0: iccieth, said that the Insurance Acc was teaching people the scriptural injunction, “Bear one another’s burden.” The Act was working well. Fifteen thousand doctors were attending the sick, and 6000 workmen were receiving the best sanatorium treatment. Scores of thousands were in receipt of sick pay who otherwise would have been without a spare penny. AN AMENDED BILL. (Received 9.5 a.m.) London. May 26. Several newspapers state that the Government is promoting an Insurance Amendment Bill this session.
