A mob dispersed suffragettes and Labourites who were speaking from fifteen waggons in Victoria Park, Hackney. Miss Sylvia Pankhurst was assaulted and stoned, and the waggon was pushed to the gates, whence the police escorted the speakers to safety. Demonstrators at Trafalgar condemned armaments and compulsory training. Enrio Malatesta, an anarchist, and two of the Sellars familv from New- Zealand were on the platform. Messrs Keir Hardie and Lans bury apologised for the absence of Lloyds.
