A HUGE EXPENDITURE.
FRENCH MILITARY PURPOSES. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] Sydney, May 23. The Minister for Finance, speaking on the Budget in committee, explained that he intended to create a special fund, probably of a thousand million francs, to provide for naval and military increases by the issue of bonds having a cuVrency of twenty years, beginning in 1915, secured by an increase in the income tax.
