BURGLAR’S MARROW ESCAPE. ■RUNNING FROM A REVOLVER. [Per Puess Association.] Auckland, May 23. J. C. Shaples, residing in Beresfor Street, discovered a burglar on his premises last night. He fired a revolver, the bullet entering the wall about two feet from the man, who bolted down the passage and escaped by a window.
As the man clambered out lie smashed a window glass and called out, apparently warning an accomplice outside. Sharpies saw two men decamping. The intruder left his finger prints, which are now in the possession of the police.
