EG MONT WINTER MEETING. The Egmont Racing Club were favored with fairly fine weather for the opening of their Winter Meeting at Hawera yesterday. The attendance was large, the sum of £11,252 passing through the totalisator, as against £9,95!) for the opening day last year.
