The silkiest, fleeciest, cosiest, ,and cheapest underwear for men is obtainable from the Egmont Clothing Company. The standard of quality is high. No one can, help noticing that the firm deals only in goods that can be confidently recommended. But the prices are little, if any, more than are charged in some places for inferior stuff. Warm clothing is a necessity. It is also necessary in these times to buy at the lowest rate obtainable for good goods. The time for horse clipping is now upon us and the Egmont Coach and Carriage Company to-day advertise th« famous Stewart Horse Clipping Machine, and quite a number of their other agencies. All of which will inctrcst the man upon the land.
The services at the Broadway Methods t Church to-morrow will be conducted by the Rev. E. Bandy in the morning and the Rev. A. Reader in the evening. Subject for the evening: “The Triple Alliance.” All are cordially invited.

Ino anniversary services in conneclion with the Stratford Presbyterian Church will he held to-morow, Rev. Mr Roseveare, of New Plymouth, will preach morning and evening. T-ie annual general meeting of the Amateur Operatic Society will held on Wednesday evening in thf Municipal Chambers. \
Foresters’ invitation assembly on Monday evening. Mr W G. Malone, Barrister and Solicitor, is prepaerd to arrange investments and obtain loans for clients.
A consignment of Leeds basic slag to Mr Newton King is arriving by the s.s. Athenic on the 13th, and clients are requested by their consignee to make arrangements to take delivery from their respective stations three or four days afterwards. A reward is offered by Mr Fitz Herbert, of Tariki, for a dog which haj strayed from Mangaotoa Road.
