ALLOCATING THE MANSION HOUSE FUNDS.

The Scott Mansion House Committee have allocated £12,403 to supplementing the Government’s amount •for providing for the relatives; £IB4B to discharging the liabilities of tho expedition; £6112 to a memorial; and the allocation of £35,675 has not been decided.

/ Sir E. Speyer stated that Commander Evans estimated that the Australian contributions would lie at least £9OOO, and they had still to come also the proceeds from the cinematograph pictures and the sale of tho Terra Nova; against which they had the cost of publishing the scientific results. The committee had nothing to do with the diaries, the profits from which belonged to the families of the authors.
