Melbourne, May 6
Hicks, an employee on the Erindale Estate, Kilmore, was out shooting when his employer’s (Mr O’Connor’s) ten-year-old son got in the line of fire and received the charge, from which he died in the hospital. Hicks, in despair, went into the stable and shot himself dead. accident at maramaru. lad aged sixteen shot by HIS FATHER. •Auckland, May 6. A report from Huntly states that Ernest Atrill, aged 16, belonging to Maramaru, was killed while out shooting with his father. He got into the.line of fire and received the charge. He died as he was being carried into tho house.
