Fisher (New Zealand) in an interview, expressed satisfaction at the success of his mission. He pointed out that Australia had not made any concessions to New Zealand over foreigners, not even allowing the five per cent preference given tc many British goods. There had been certain difficulties in the way of aiming at an agreement, hut thesi proved not unsurmountable. He believed the result of their labours, il ratified by the two Parliaments, would be hailed with satisfaction by the commercial community.
