A GUN’ FATALITY
[Per , Press Association. ]
Hastings, May 2
At the inquest concerning the death of Charles Flanders, aged 19, who met with a fatal gun accident whilst duck shooting yesterday, a verdict was returned that deceased was accidentally killed by a gunshot wound, the accident being caused by the negligent use of a guu. The following rider was added:—That the frequency of accidents arising solely from the careless use of firearms suggests the advisability of legislation, requiring all persons using or having possession of firearms and ammunition, to take out a license, issued by some competent expert after careful examination and enquiry regarding the proposed licenses.
