A SERIOUS CHARGE
{Per Press Association.] Auckland, May 1. Sarah Eliza Skollon was sentoalod for trial at the Police Court on a charge of murder arising from the death of the girl Monotaur Bush,under seventeen years, on whom, it is alleged, accused performed an illegal operation. Previous to the girls’ death, Mrs Skellon was committed on a charge of performing an illegal operation.
DISPOSAL OF MILITARY STORES
Wellington, April 30. The proceedings of the Court of Enquiry, held on the disposal of Government stores by Captain Nathan, Quartermaster of the 6th (Hauraki) regiment, having been received, by the general officer commanding, the latter is glad to state that there is no reflection on the conduct or charactei of tins officer.
STORED BUTTER
Wellington, April 30
The following figures show the butter in cool stores at the various ports throughout the Dominion on the 30th April, 1913:—Auckland, 23,677 boxes; New Plymouth, 12,755; Patea, 1746; Wanganui, 874; Wellington, 17,475; Lyttelton, 5589; Dunedin, 2138; Total, 14,254. The total on 30th April, 1912, was 54,832 boxes.
