TOKO SETTLERS’ ASSOCIATION.

[To The Editor Stratford Post.]

Sir, —At their last meeting it was proposed and carried that the Toko Branch of the Farmers’ Union, as at present constituted, cease to exist* their intention being to start again under the name of the Toko Settlers’ Association. This action was not caused by any dispute or disagreement, with the Farmers’ Union; we part, we trust, with mutual good wishes. But it was thought that the pastoral and agricultural interests of the district would be better served by independent action.—l am, etc., D. MAXWELL, Toko.
