The Chief of Police received a warning from abroad that it was intended to make an attempt on the life of the Kaiser at Karlsruhe. The police at Karlsruhe were informed, but no importance was attached to the incident. The fact that the Kaiser motored to Karlsruhe instead of / going by train is ascribed to the fine weather.
