A verdict of death due to heart disease was returnel in the cases of Harry • Williams and John Kimmins; while in the case of-, a negro named Alfred Britis, who died in gaol while serving six months for sly grog selling, the evidence showed that deceased was far gone in consumption, which was the chief cause of death. KILLED BY A FALL OF EARTH. Hamilton, April 25. A laborer named Kirkby, a single man, aged 27, was killed by fall of [earth at Leslie’s Gully this afternoon, where excavation work is progressing. It appears that he was backing a cart into the face when a ton fall occurred, .burying the unfortunate man. He was quickly dug out, hut it was found that a stone had struck his temple, and he died a few minutes afterwards.
