NEWTON KING’S WEEKLY REPORT. On Friday, 18th April, at Kaponga, I offered a big yarding of stock to a good attendance of buyers. Competition was good for all lines. Jersey weaner heifers made from £2 3s to £2 13s 6d, weaner heifers £1 13s to £1 16s 6d, small £1 2s 6d to £1 8s 6d, mixed 17s to £1 3s 6d, fat cows £5 o& to £6 2s, forward cows £4 to £4 15s, store,cows £2 12s to £3 11s 6d, aged cows £1 4s 6d to £1 12s 6d, stags £1 17s 6d to £3 15s, bulls £2 10s to £6.
At Urenui, on Monday, 21st inst., I had a good entry of catle and 950 sheep. Buyers were present in good numbers-from all parts, making fair competition for most lines. Clearing Sale.—On Friday, 18th inst., I conducted a sale at Kahui Road, Rahotu, on account Mr Charles Crisp:—Dairy cows sold at from £6 15s to £ll ss, aged £3 15s to £4 15s, fat cows £5 15s, pedigree Ayrshire bull 16 guineas, weaner heifers £1 16s, weaner Ayrshire steers -1 Bs.

Messrs Matthews, Bennett and Co. report there was a fair yarding of cattle in their Inglewood yards on Wednesday last. Stratford Branch, report as follows;:*— 1 • On Wednesday, 16th April, we held our usual monthly sale in our Kohuratahi yards, when wo had a yarding of 343 cattle and 44.0 sheep. Bidding was rathhr dull, but we sold several pens after the sale. Prices were as follows:

Oh Tuesday, 22nd inst., wo held our usual fortnightly sale in our Stratford yards, when we had a full yarding of 690 cattle and 4 pens of sheep. Bidding was quiet, but all the small linos were sold at the hammer at satisfactory prices. Prices'were as follows:—Colored weaner heifers 42s to 595, small weaners 15,s to 21s, medium weaners 25s to 335,. IS-aicatu

A nice lino of Holstein heifers in calf £7 17s 6d, a lino of Jersey heifers £7 2s 6d, store cows £2 to £3 13s, forward cows £3 15s to £4 7s Gd, bulk £2 15s to £4, lambs 8s Gd, f.m. ewes 5s Gd to 7s 7d. Since last report, wo have sold a considerable quantity of stock privately at the following prices:—2-tooth wethers 13s 6d, 13s 9d to 14s 2d, lambs 8s 6d, 9s and 9s 3d, and 11s 3d for ewe lambs, 6-tooth ewes 12s 6cl, 2tooth ewes los to los 6d, 18-month steers £3 4s, £3 7s 6d, £3 10s and £3 16s 6d, 18-month empty heifers £3 ss, £3 7s, £3 8s (kl, £3 12s, weaners 30s, 365, 37s 6d, and 395.
