WEATHER FORECAST.
The Government Meteorologist (Rev. B. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows; —• The indications are for variable and strong breezes, but south-easterly strong to gale prevailing; expect dull ' weather with much mist and fog in parts; expect heavy rain with rivers rising shortly. The barometer has a falling tendency.
