SUNDRY SPORTS.

FOOTBALL. THE “SOCCER” GAME. The Stratford Association Football Club sent a team out to Kaponga yesterday, when a game was played with the local club. After a splendid game, a draw was recorded, neithei side being able to register a score. Mr D. Butchart was referee. A feature of the game was the excellent back play of T. Gordon, but the Stratford team all through played a fair game ,and the members show promise of developing, with practice and experience, into good players. It is hoped to have clubs representing Kaponga, Eltham; Manaia, Hawera, Okaiavva, and Stratford playing in the same division.
