DRIFTING INTO WAR.
GREECE AMD BULGARIA. SERVIANS SUITOR! GREEKS. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] London, April 23. The Chronicle's Salonika corr ipondent reports that Greece and Lai; aria are rapidly drifting into war. The Bulgarians are concentrating, and have drawn a division each from Chataldja, Adrianople, and Bulair. The Servians are reassembling north of Salonika, ready to help the Greeks. SUSPENSION OF HOSTILITIES. Constantinople, April 23. Turkey has arranged with Servia and Greece for a suspension of hostilities and the repatriation of prisoners. The Greeks are withdrawing from the islands and concentrating their troops on Salonika. The Servian troops at Scutari have been transferred to Salonika. OUTBREAK IN ALBANIA. Belgrade, April 23. The partial withdrawal of the Servians from Albania was signalised by an outbreak among the Albanians. The Mohammedans on the right bank cf the Devoli river attacked the Christians on the loft bank, THE FALL OF SCUTARI. Cettinje, April 23. It is officially reported that the Montenegrins have entered Scutari. GRAVITY OF NEW SITUATION. AUSTRIA’S ALLEGED INTENTION. (Received 10.40 a.m.) London, April 23. Continental telegrams emphasise the gravity of the new situation arising over the fall of Scutari. Some allege that Austria’s intention is to enforce the Powers’ demand for Montenegro’s withdrawals. HOW THE TOWN WAS WON. Advices from Cattaro states that the fighting around Scutari was decided by the Servian artillery silencing the batteries one after another. SUCCESS OF A NIGHT RAID. The Montenegrins during the night time captured all the important positions, and stormed the Bedica positions. SCUTARI IN RUINS. Artillery fire has laid the port of Scutari in ruins. ENTRY OF KING NICHOLAS. King Nicholas and the Princes will enter to-day. Belgrade, April 23. There are great rejoicings over the capture of Scutari. PROTECTION FOR CHRISTIANS. Corfu, April 23. The Bishop of Durazzo has appealed to Sir Edward Grey and M. Sazonoff for the protection of Christians. Since the Servians have withdrawn, sixteen people have been murdered in the Pekinio district.
