SENTENCED TO DEATH.
THE COPMANHURST MURDER. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association ] n .,,i Sydney, April 23. Lindsay has been sentenced to death for the murder of Mrs Lloyd, at Copmanhurst. A Sydney cablegram, dated January 13, saysA shocking tragedy occurred at Copmanhurst. Mrs Lloyd, wife of a farmer, admonished an exState boy named Lindsay, twenty years of age, whereupon he shot her dead. The crime occurred when the woman was going milking at 4 o’clock in tho morning. Lindsay dragged the body to the house, and then wrote to bis sister, who is living in Sydney: “Just shot Mrs Lloyd dead. Pray God forgive me.” He then went to a neighbour’s house ana related the occurrence, on his way to surrender to the police, when ho was arrested.
