‘‘NOTHING I OFFENS^‘” ( \ H , (While in Danncvirke Af 'fhe'effd'of last week, Police Inspectdr’ 'O’Ddnovon made exhaustiv r e enquiries into the recent statements concerning the visit of a crowd of Territorials, encamped at Oringi, to that town. On Tuesday night, lie said, about 250 men landed in Danncvirke by the 7.15 p.tn. train, and lycst jjf'these were JoJithsj under the age of tweiftykme. The places .ot, amusement were not open at that hour, and the men paraded the streets in groups, some, of course, indulging in the usual horseplay and monkey tricks, but no damage was done to the township. According to the local police, the men had committed no breach of the peace, and had used no offensive behaviour towards others, as complained of. They departed for the camp at 8. Amongst the crowd six men were under the influence of drink, and a few flasks of whisky were visible amongst them. No passengers were molested or interfered with.
