MR BRYAN’S SCHEME

Mr Bryan outlined a plan to negotiate treaties, of peace between the United States and other nations, with the, ultimate abolition .of- war. The scheme provides for a non-arbitration court on similar lines, to ex-President. Taft’s proposal dealing with all questions, including those of the national, honour. The court’svwprk will be to . discover the facts,.,the nations par--ticipating 4n .the. r controversy/ at. the moment meanwhile pledging themseleves not to alter the military status bi- prepare for war; the court to place the facts before the world, leaving, the. nations involved in the dispute to decide thereafter whether they will fight or arbitrate.
