John Dillon, who was • injured by being knocked down by a tram-car last Thursday, succumbed to his injuries last night.: A CONSUMPTIVE’S DEATH. Christchurch, April 20. . William James McGrandle, a single man, who came to Wellington from Masterton a few weeks ago, died suddenly. FALL FROM A CART. Richard John Sunderland, a baker, 6S years Oi age, who was taken to the hospital on April 9, suffering from injuries received by falling off a cart, died to-day. The inquest was adjourned till to-morrow. KILLED WHILE SHUNTING. Christchurch, April 20.

John Poppolwell, a shunter at’ the Mina railway station, near Cheviot, between 17 and 17£ years of age, eingle, while engaged in shunting operations yesterday afternoon, was knocked down by a truck,.which passed over his left arm and leg, almost severing them from the body. He was brought to town and taken to the hospital, where he died at 9.15 p.m. An inquest was opened today, when evidence as to identification and the nature of the injuries was taken. The coroner, in adjourning the inquest till Wednesday, drew the attention of a representative of the Railway Department- to the fact that deceased being .represented by counsel indicated an attitude adverse to the Department would probably be taken up. LYSOL POISONING. Auckland, April 20.The body of a middle-aged man, as yet unidentified, was found this morning on the section of the new Y.M.C. A. building, which is not yet occupied. A lysol bottle and a glass were lying beside the body. Auckland, April 21. A middle-aged man, name unknown, whose initial letters are believed to be committed suicide yesterday.-
